Officials have drafted in pyschic Uri Gellar to use his powers to help find the missing plane [MARK KEHOE] Can you please try to 'see' where YOU believe the plane went down?
Over a week after flight MH370 mysteriously vanished from Malaysian airspace, the 67-year-old asked his Twitter and Facebook followers to use their "intuitive sense" to work out where the plane may have crashed.
Geller, a former friend of Michael Jackson's, has championed remote viewing for years, stating that the CIA have also used the method for decades.
He told the Mirror: "It works by people sending their mind through space and time. I have been asked by quite a substantial figure in Malaysia what my feelings are about this situation."
Gellar asked his Facebook followers what they believe happened to the aircraft [FACEBOOK]He wrote: "I have been asked to help. I believe in remote viewing. Can you help me? Can you please try to 'see' where YOU believe the plane went down? How and why, what are you own feelings, what does your intuitive sense tell you. THANKYOU."
He also wrote on his Facebook page, accompanied by a grinning selfie: "Malaysia Plane Crash: what do you all think? If the plane did not crash is it possible for it to have landed in either North Korea or Iran?? How many of you think it crashed how many of you think it landed somewhere."
Some of Geller's social media followers responded with their thoughts on where the missing plane may have ended up.
The spoon-bender came under fire from some of his followers after asking for help [TWITTER]Ramona Carmen added: "A friend of mine thinks it has been abducted by aliens…I tried to do a meditation on it and all I got was a clear blue sky".
Other followers of the mystic were less than impressed with his involvement in the saga of the missing plane, with some stating it was far too important an issue to warrant pyshic involvement.
Geller has since removed the Tweets from his Twitter page after apparently receiving a backlash of criticism.
