Cheap Oakleys Arizona vs. Wisconsin Score, Twitter Reaction and More from March Madness 2014 Bleach
In an overtime classic to cap off Saturday's Elite Eight NCAA tournament action, the Wisconsin Badgers advanced to the Final Four with a 64-63 victory over the top-seeded Arizona Wildcats at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif.
ON WISCONSIN! No. 2 Badgers best No. 1 Arizona, 64-63 in OT, for 1st trip to since 2000! Cheap Oakleys
— NCAA March Madness (@marchmadness)
Now, the No. 2 Badgers from the West region move on to face the winner of Sunday's Midwest regional final between second seed Michigan and the upstart No. 8 Kentucky Wildcats.
ESPN Stats & Info noted that this contest was the seventh overtime game of the 2014 tournament—tied for most in history:
This is the 7th OT game of the tourney, tied for the most in a single NCAA Tournament.
— ESPN Stats & Info (@ESPNStatsInfo)
Talk about March Madness. Arizona star Nick Johnson had a team-high 16 points, but was called for an offensive foul on the penultimate possession, then failed to get a potential winning shot off as time expired.
Wisconsin deferred time and again to 7'0" star Frank Kaminsky, and the versatile big man did not disappoint in leading all scorers with 28 points to go with 11 rebounds.
Jeff Borzello of CBSSports.com provided simple but effective analysis on why Kaminsky was so effective against Arizona:
Frank Kaminsky. Matchup nightmare.
— Jeff Borzello (@jeffborzello)
And to think, as CBSSports.com's Tom Fornelli pointed out, Kaminsky's number of offers coming out of high school weren't all that prestigious—certainly not suggestive of a dominant collegiate player:
Kaminsky had offers from Wisky, NU, DePaul, Bradley, NIU and SIU. He developed IN college.
— Tom Fornelli (@TomFornelli)
The Wildcats have been rated No. 1 in adjusted defensive efficiency on , and they did an Cheap Oakley Sunglasses admirable job shutting down everyone else. But Kaminsky's size and finesse were something even super-athletic freshman forward Aaron Gordon and the rest of Arizona had no consistent answer for.
Gordon played huge, though, recording a career-high 18 rebounds and nailing a clutch, game-tying three-pointer in the extra period to answer Ben Brust. Eric Edholm of Yahoo Sports also highlighted Gordon's defensive versatility:
Aaron Gordon has guarded Wisconsin's center, wing and point guard tonight. Amazing.
— Eric Edholm (@Eric_Edholm)
The Big Ten Network's Mike Hall commended the job the Wildcats did as a team of keeping the sizable Badgers front line away from the rim:
Arizona's D is making it nearly impossible for the Badgers to do anything in the paint.
— Mike Hall (@BTNMikeHall)
If not for the way Kaminsky was able to aid spacing and stretch the floor, Wisconsin would not have even competed in this contest.
A layup by point guard Traevon Jackson gave Wisconsin a 54-52 lead with just over a minute left. Then, Wildcats standout Nick Johnson, who led Arizona with 16 points of his own, shot an air ball that was followed with a dunk by Rondae Hollis-Jefferson to knot the score at 54:
Jackson missed a jumper to end regulation, which CBS Sports expert Seth Davis criticized for not getting the ball to Kaminsky on the final play:
Terrible play by Traevon Jackson. Gotta give Frank the ball.
— Seth Davis (@SethDavisHoops)
Even when Kaminsky wasn't scoring, he was setting up opportunities for his teammates. To cite a specific example, when Jackson went to the hole late in overtime, the defense concentrated on Kiminsky, and although Jackson missed the layup, Kaminsky was right there to sneak in and tip it in for a 64-61 lead.
Borzello couldn't have described the action better, as Arizona cut the lead back to one with under a minute left:
Punching and counter-punching. Terrific stuff.
— Jeff Borzello (@jeffborzello)
Unfortunately for the Wildcats, T.J. McConnell's struggles from the field continued when he missed his last attempt to go 2-of-10 shooting, and Johnson was called for an offensive foul in the final seconds while driving to the hoop:
ESPN's Jeff Goodman—among others—wasn't certain about the call on Johnson:
Charge? Extremely debatable.
— Jeff Goodman (@GoodmanESPN)
Nevertheless, it was a heck of an effort by Wisconsin to get the job done in a game where casual fans would hate to see either team suffer a loss. After the game, head coach Bo Ryan intimated the impact his late father had on him in the context of clinching his Oakley Sunglasses Discount maiden Final Four berth:
Really emotional Bo Ryan talking about his father's passing/Final 4: "It's going to be tough without him there. ... This is for Butch."
— Nicole Auerbach (@NicoleAuerbach)
Although the Badgers have done a far better job scoring the basketball down the stretch, Ryan's squad was able to adapt in this contest. Using Ryan's traditional, methodical approach dependent on half-court offensive execution, Wisconsin was able to grind it out against such a formidable opponent and do just enough to advance to the national semifinals.
This marks Ryan's 13th consecutive trip to the NCAA tournament, yet the Badgers had failed to reach the Final Four each time. Regardless of the winner on Saturday, either Ryan or his counterpart, Sean Miller, was going to make his first appearance on the biggest stage in college basketball.
Miller discussed the impact Kaminsky had following the loss:
Zona coach Sean Miller on Kaminsky: "I thought the big fella for them was the difference."
— Jeff Potrykus (@jaypo1961)
Ryan and Wisconsin came out on the winning end, with Kaminsky as the driving force and a proportionally Herculean effort on defense aiding the Badgers' landmark triumph.
Kaminsky, a junior, is a microcosm of what can happen when a college player stays in school and develops for more than one season. Wisconsin has done a great job of this under Ryan, which is why it would be fascinating to see the Badgers take on Kentucky in the Final Four.
Kentucky is comprised of a ton of freshmen who are teeming with confidence, plenty capable of toppling the Wolverines in the Elite Eight. But that Michigan nucleus fell to Louisville in the national-title game last season, and has proved its ability to battle through adversity in the absence of standout big man Mitch McGary.
Either matchup will be difficult for the Badgers, but as long as Kaminsky is clicking on all cylinders and his teammates are able to make Discount Oakley Sunglasses excellent adjustments as they did in knocking off Arizona, Wisconsin should be favored in Arlington.

AK47s, ammo, and art The unsettling allure of South Africas beaded guns - CNN.com
More than 100 million small arms and light weapons are currently circulating in Africa. These weapons stir fear in the masses, but they also inspire reverence. Armed men command status and respect. Freedom songs connect AK-47s with liberation. Mozambique's flag even features the silhouette of the Kalashnikov assault rifle.South African artist and photographer explores the horror and awe of the African arms trade in "Ghosts." Working with local bead artisans and street vendors, he created hundreds of mock bullets and AK-47s. Ziman later traveled with the artists to one of Johannesburg's most crime-ridden neighborhoods, where they posed with their fantasy weapons. "They have lived around crime and violence both in their adoptive South Africa and their native Zimbabwe," Ziman says. "There is a sadness about the pictures—a loneliness and distance."The works will go on show at Cape Town's from April 24.- Interview by

(CNN) -- "The heat gets pretty unbearable in Beppu during the summer, with all the hot springs," says Sachiko Okuda, a veteran tour guide and native of "hot spring capital."
Looking out the bus window on the way into town, it's easy to believe her.
Steam spews from every other building.
Beppu, in central Oita prefecture, is home to more than 2,500 onsen -- hot springs.
It's the world's second largest source of thermal spring water after Yellowstone National Park in the United States.
"During Golden Week, we get around 60,000 visitors staying at our onsen resorts," Okuda explains.
But we're not hot-tubbing today.
We're on our way to Beppu's so-called Eight Hells (jigoku) hot springs, where the water gushes out at temperatures as hot as 150 C.
Some also spout vermillion colored steam -- each "hell" is different in its own intense way.
Umi-Jigoku (Sea Hell)
About 1,200 years ago, a volcano erupted and the cobalt-blue Umi-Jigoku sprang forth -- iron sulfate being the source of its lovely color.
Don't be lulled by its beauty, though -- the hot spring is 200 meters deep and, at 98 C, almost boiling.
The steam heats a nearby greenhouse where Victoria amazonica water lilies bloom between May and November.
Right by the entrance, stores sell pudding cooked in the hot spring's steam.
Oniishibozu-Jigoku (Oniishi Shaven Head Hell)
Even hotter than Umi-Jigoku, at an average 99 C, Oniishibozu-Jigoku gets its name from the gray mud bubbles it spouts that are said to resemble a monk's shaven head.
The town Onishi (one "i"), in Gunma prefecture, signals its hellish association by using the kanji character for "demon" in its name.
Every February, the people of Onishi clear their homes of evil spirits by throwing soybeans at invisible demons during the Onishi Setsubun festival.
Yama-Jigoku (Mountain Hell)
Resembling mountains of mud according to legend, the pools of Yama-Jigoku are in reality more like steaming puddles.
Harmless though they might appear, they reache a scorching 90 C.
A mini zoo nearby features animals acclimated to the heat -- flamingos, monkeys, snakes and a hippopotamus who waits to be fed carrots.
Kamado-Jigoku (Cooking Pot Hell)
A red demon statue atop a cooking pot guards the entrance to Kamado-Jigoku. Some of the six differently colored ponds here reach boiling point.
There are -- less hot -- hand and foot baths, drinking water at 80 C and jigoku-mushi: Vegetables and hard-boiled eggs cooked in the boiling water and steam.
Oniyama-Jigoku (Demon Mountain Hell)
Also known as "Crocodile Hell," Oniyama is home to around 80 of the creatures, as well as alligators slithering around in murky water pouring in from a salt spring.
The steam pressure here is strong enough to pull one and a half train carriages, as well as creating ideal crocodile-breeding conditions, an onsite sign discloses.
Shiraike-Jigoku (White Pond Hell)
With rocks in the middle of a milky green pond and its surrounding bushes, Shiraike resembles a Japanese zen garden.
A hot spring spouts creamy white steam at 95 C.
The water's milky color comes from a mixture of boric acid, salt, sodium silicate and calcium bicarbonate.
Piranhas are among the fish kept in a run-down aquarium nearby.
Tatsumaki-Jigoku (Tornado Hell)
Regarded as a natural treasure of Beppu, Tatsumaki is one of Japan's few geysers.
Erupting every half an hour or so for up to 10 minutes, its spout can reach 50 meters without the stone plate that is used to block it off.
At a fiendish 150 C, Tatsumaki also has the hottest water of all the hells and emits hot sulfurous gases.
Chinoike-Jigoku (Blood Pond Hell)
Not only is the water red here, but the steam too.
The oldest of the hells, Chinoike's vermillion color comes from the acidic iron and magnesium-filled clay oozing from the ground.
At 78 C, this is also the coolest of the eight hells, but signage reminds visitors that you still can't take a dip.
An ointment made from the clay that's used to treat skin diseases is sold at a stand nearby.
Getting there
Beppu is a two-hour train ride from Fukuoka's Hakata station on the limited express Sonic train.
From JR Beppu station, take a 15-minute ride on Kamei bus 5, 7 or 9 to reach Kannawa bus terminal, where the first six hells are located.
From Kannawa, a five-minute ride on Kamei bus 16 or 16A takes you to Chinoike-Jigoku and Tatsumaki-Jigoku in Shibaseki hells. The same buses also return you to Beppu station, a 40-minute journey.
Alternatively, Kamenoi bus company provides 2.5-hour tours (in Japanese) of all eight hells for ?3,600 ($35).
Tours depart three times a day and can be booked the same day at the inside JR Beppu station.

Cheap Oakley Sunglasses Australia 14 – March – 2014 – Eatocracy - CNN.com Blogs
Christopher Dawson is a producer with CNN Special Projects and works with team. Video by , Eatocracy's go-to beer guy.
If that last beer made you feel a little warm and fuzzy inside, it could be because you just did some good. You may have just donated to a charity, just by buying a drink.
I first noticed this philanthropy trend while enjoying a new limited release IPA from Sweetwater Brewery called . The name implies having more, and the compelling flavoring of juniper berries and chocolate malts had already sold me on that Cheap Oakley Sunglasses Australia proposition.
But then I read the beer’s label and learned that it was oakley Australia crafted to benefit a charity called , which helps people in the food industry going through hard times. This initiative was inspired by Atlanta chef Ryan Hidinger, who when he fought and ultimately Cheap Oakley Sunglasses Australia lost his battle with cancer. His wife and friends decided to take the generous funds that were raised to help Ryan and pay it forward by creating this charity. I admit that it got me when I read that the juniper berries were added for Ryan, because he so enjoyed cooking with them.

Jai Yoga is a yoga studio in the heart of Haverford. Jai offers Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Jai Power Fusion (a combination of yoga, Pilates and strength), Yin Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, TRX, and a variety of different types of massage, and Reiki.
My Introduction to Jai
I have heard good things about Jai for years. Of course, I was also anti-yoga (‘yoga is too new age for me’) for many years, so I never looked into this studio.
Before I was even considering tryinganykind of yoga, I received an email this summer from Nathalie Wetzel, the owner of Jai, offering me a one month free membership. A good friend of mine had been taking classes at Jai and Nathalie had asked her if her friends might want to come in. My foot was still quite broken at the time, so I declined the offer, but I was struck by the kindness of this woman. When I met Nathalie (months later), Cheap Oakley Oil Rigs I found her to be incredibly genuine, intellectually curious, and Oakley Sunglasses Australia surprisingly open to feedback from her students. She introduced me to her mother (who was taking the same class that I took) within minutes of meeting her. Nathalie celebrates the individuality of her students and her instructors. She works to maintain a culture of authenticity and connection at Jai.
The atmosphere at Jai is intimate and nurturing. From the moment I entered the studio, I felt like I had found a secret world in the middle of the Main Line. In some ways, Jai feels like what I imagine a studio in Soho feels like. It’s small, it’s filled with very intelligent, interesting participants, and you can hear the din of traffic from Lancaster Avenue. There are no mirrors in the studio, and this helps participants to focus on their own practice and their internal experience.
I took a variety of classes at Jai, all of which I loved. I started with a Meditation class. I was incredibly nervous to try this class as I tend to be quite avoidant of things that I (erroneously) deem to be ‘hippie nonsense.’ The class was intimate (4 participants, including myself) and it was powerful. I struggled to relax initially. Once again, I found myself thinking excessively about ‘The Real Housewives’ and whether or not they are as awful in real life as they seem to be on television. I’ve learned that I tend to escape into ‘Bravo’ shows in my head in order to avoid letting my guard down. Toward the end of the Meditation class, however, I was able to relax and enjoy the regressive pull of the class. Much to my surprise, I felt that it was a powerfully moving class.
I have also taken Slow Flow and Gentle Stretch at Jai. I fell inlovewith the Gentle Stretch class. After I took it once, I raved about it and brought a friend with me to the second class. This class guides you through a series Oakley Sunglasses Wholesale Mens of stretching exercises that felt like heaven for my muscles. Left to my own devices, I tend to rush through stretching so it felt indulgent to spend an hour stretching each body part. I enjoyed Slow Flow as well, and it was a nice way to practice different yoga poses in a relaxed atmosphere.
